Our parents — Mr. Noi and the emphatically known Mrs. Noi — opened a 900 sq ft carry-out in Warren, MI, at a time when most Americans had never heard of Thailand, let alone Thai food. No fanfare. No investors. Just bold flavors, honest cooking, and a belief that Thai cuisine could win anyone over. It did. What started as a single carry-out grew into three locations across Warren, Troy, and Birmingham. Neighbors became regulars. Regulars became family. And people across Metro Detroit came to know our dad simply as Mr. Noi.

When our parents retired and closed their doors, those loyal customers wondered where Mr. Noi had gone. Years passed. Then Tammy — an engineer by trade, a restaurateur by heart — decided it wasn't over. She saw our parents restless in retirement, a lifetime of hard work with nowhere to go. So she brought them back to Waterford. Modern management. Traditional recipes. The same hands. The same soul. And just like that, the customers who had been searching for years found Mr. Noi again.
